Domain Portfolio Budget Planner
Plan renewals across all the domains you hold.
How it works
Budget every domain you hold, for as many years as you like
Agencies, founders with a brand-protection set, and anyone holding more than two domains lose track of what renewals add up to. Paste your domains, or extensions with a count such as “.com x 3”, choose how many years to plan for, and this planner prices each line at MailShrine's live register and renewal rates. You get a per-line table, the first-year bill, the yearly renewal bill after that, and the total in USD and Naira.
Results appear here after you click Plan budget.
How this works
- 1
Parse your list
Each line becomes a domain or an extension with a quantity; we read the extension to pick the right price.
- 2
Price each line live
Register, transfer or renewal price for year one depending on your mode, then the renewal price for every later year.
- 3
Sum and spread
We total every line in USD and Naira and divide by months so you can set aside the right amount.
Frequently asked questions
- How much does it cost to renew multiple domains?
- Multiply each domain's renewal price by the number of years and add them up; this planner does that with live prices. For most portfolios the renewal bill, not the first-year price, is the number that matters, because it repeats every year.
- Should an agency register client domains under its own account?
- It is simpler to bill, but the client should be the registrant so they own the name if you part ways. Many agencies register in the client's name, keep DNS access, and pass through the renewal cost on their invoice.
- Is it cheaper to register for several years at once?
- On MailShrine the multi-year price is the register price plus renewals at today's rate, so you do not pay more, and you lock the price against registry increases. The saving shows up when prices rise and when you avoid losing a lapsed domain.
- Which domains in a portfolio can I let go?
- Any name with no traffic, no email and no trademark reason to hold. Check DNS and analytics first, redirect anything that still receives visitors, then switch off auto-renew and let it expire at the end of the paid term.
- Can I pay for all my renewals in Naira?
- Yes. Every price here has a Naira equivalent, and MailShrine bills Nigerian customers through Paystack. Renewing the whole set in one order means one Naira charge rather than many small ones.
Every MailShrine domain includes WHOIS privacy, transfer lock, Anycast DNS with DNSSEC and two business mailboxes.
