Domain Name Generator

Turn keywords into brandable, available names.

How it works

Turn one or two keywords into available domain names

Type what your business does, pick a style, and we build up to twenty candidate names by combining your keywords with proven prefixes (get, try, hey), suffixes (hq, hub, labs) and blends. The same keywords always give the same list, so you can come back to it. Each candidate is scored for length and pronounceability, then the six best are checked against the registry with MailShrine's real first-year and renewal prices.

How this works

  1. 1

    Combine your keywords

We join your words with curated prefixes, suffixes, modifiers and blends, seeded by the keywords so results are repeatable.

  2. 2

    Score and rank

Each candidate loses points for length, extra syllables, hyphens and digits; unpronounceable strings are dropped.

  3. 3

    Verify the best six

The highest scorers are checked against the registry through our search API and priced live.

Frequently asked questions

How does the domain name generator work?
It combines your keywords with prefixes like get and try, suffixes like hq and labs, descriptive modifiers and invented blends. Candidates are scored for length and pronounceability, and the six best are checked live for availability with real prices, so you never fall in love with a name that is already gone.
Why do the same keywords always give the same names?
The generator is deterministic: it uses a hash of your keywords to choose which prefixes and suffixes to try. That means you can share the link with a co-founder and you will both see the same list, and you can refine it by changing the style or adding a word.
Should I choose .com or another extension?
If a short .com is available, take it; it is still the extension people type by default. For software and startups, .io and .ai are widely accepted, and .co works well for small brands. Use the TLD Finder tool if you want a recommendation based on your market.
Are invented names like 'namora' bad for SEO?
No. Google ranks pages, not domain words, and most strong brands have invented names. A brandable name is easier to trademark and less likely to be taken. Exact-match keyword domains no longer carry a ranking advantage.
What does an available name cost?
The price is shown next to every available result. MailShrine .com is about $12.99 for the first year and renews at the same price; other extensions vary, which is why we always show the renewal rate too.

Every MailShrine domain includes WHOIS privacy, transfer lock, Anycast DNS with DNSSEC and two business mailboxes.
