Business Name to Domain Finder

Find a matching domain for your company name, with alternatives if .com is gone.

How it works

Find the domain that matches your business name

Type your company name exactly as it appears on your signage or registration. We strip legal suffixes (Ltd, LLC, Nigeria), remove filler words, and build the sensible spellings: joined, hyphenated, initials, and brand-style variants with get-, -hq or -online. The core spelling is searched across every extension we sell in one registry call, then the best alternatives are confirmed live for .com, so you leave with a name you can actually register today.

How this works

  1. 1

    Clean the name

Legal suffixes such as Ltd and LLC and words like 'the' are removed to find the spelling customers would type.

  2. 2

    Search across extensions

The core spelling is searched through our registry API, which returns .com, .net, .org and more in one call.

  3. 3

    Confirm alternatives live

Hyphenated, initials and brand-style variants are checked individually on your preferred extension with real prices.

Frequently asked questions

My business name .com is taken. What should I do?
First check whether it is listed for sale; many taken names have a fixed Buy Now price. If not, the common fixes are a short prefix or suffix (getname, namehq), your country extension such as .ng or .co.uk, or a modern generic like .co. Avoid hyphens unless the hyphenated name reads clearly.
Should the domain include 'Ltd' or 'LLC'?
No. Customers never type the legal suffix, and it makes the domain longer and harder to say. Register the trading name; the legal entity goes on invoices and your registrant details, not in the URL.
Is it OK to use initials or an acronym?
It works when your customers already use the acronym (think of banks and broadcasters). For a new business, a pronounceable word is easier to remember and to search for. Short acronyms on .com are nearly all taken, so expect to pay aftermarket prices.
Can I register a domain that matches someone else's trademark?
You can usually register it, but you may lose it in a dispute and face legal costs. Search your national trademark register and Google the name before buying, especially if a competitor already uses the spelling.
How much does a business domain cost?
A standard .com at MailShrine is about $12.99 for the first year and renews at the same rate. Country extensions vary, and names listed for sale on the aftermarket have a one-time price set by the current owner, shown next to the result.

Every MailShrine domain includes WHOIS privacy, transfer lock, Anycast DNS with DNSSEC and two business mailboxes.
