How MailShrine is priced today (updated October 2026): MailShrine is an email suite, not a single flat-fee product. Live: Email Marketing, Business Email, AI Email Lead Generator, Email Sanitization (200 credits per month, refilled every month), and Developer API — Live. In development: Email Automation only. Email Marketing, Email Lead Generator, and Developer API use pay-as-you-go credits (1 credit = 1 email, harvested lead, or API send), with monthly Email Marketing options. Stored contacts do not raise the bill. Business Email is billed by mailbox. Products and plans are differentiated — not every feature lives on every plan. Confirm live packs on Pricing.
In 2026, launching a new cold email campaign from a fresh domain without warming it up first is the digital equivalent of walking into a bank and asking for a million-dollar loan with no credit history. You will be rejected immediately.
When you purchase a new domain (e.g., tryyourcompany.com) and set up a new Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 account, that domain has a sender reputation of zero. It is entirely unknown to the major internet service providers (ISPs) like Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook.
If an unknown domain suddenly starts sending 500 identical emails a day, spam algorithms immediately flag it as malicious behavior. To build trust, you must simulate natural, human-to-human email behavior. This process is called inbox warm-up.
MailShrine does not currently include an automated warm-up network. Treat the schedule below as sender best practice on whatever path you use — a connected inbox or MailShrine Cloud — and add a third-party warm-up tool if you need a dedicated pool.
What is Inbox Warm-Up?
Inbox warm-up is the process of slowly and systematically increasing the volume of emails sent from a new account while simultaneously generating positive engagement signals (opens, replies, and marking emails as "not spam").
This process proves to the algorithms that your emails are wanted by real people.
The 3 Core Pillars of Warm-Up
- Gradual Volume Increase: You cannot jump from 0 to 1,000 emails a day. You must start small (5-10 emails) and scale up over weeks.
- Positive Engagement: The emails you send during warm-up must be opened and replied to. This is the strongest signal of legitimacy.
- Spam folder retrieval: If a warm-up email lands in a spam folder, it must be manually moved back to the primary inbox. This teaches the algorithm, "This sender is safe; I made a mistake."
How Automated Warm-Up Networks Work
Doing this manually is impossible at scale. You cannot email 50 of your friends every day and beg them to reply to you and fish your emails out of spam.
This is where automated warm-up networks come in. A warm-up network is a massive pool of real, aged inboxes (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo) that automatically interact with each other. Competitor products such as Lemwarm (Lemlist) and Instantly's warm-up network are built around this model.
Here is how the automated workflow happens:
- Send: Your new inbox sends an email to an aged inbox in the network.
- Engage: The recipient network inbox automatically opens the email and replies.
- Rescue: If your email happened to land in the network inbox's Spam folder, the system automatically moves it to the Primary Inbox before replying.
- Boost: Google/Microsoft algorithms observe this high engagement and increase your sender trust score.
Over 14 to 30 days, your sender reputation can improve substantially. That is an industry practice — not a MailShrine product feature.
The Perfect 4-Week Warm-Up Schedule
If you are warming up manually (or configuring a third-party tool), this is the industry-standard ramp-up schedule for a new domain in 2026:
- Week 1 (5 - 15 emails/day): Establish a baseline existence. Strictly zero cold outreach during this week.
- Week 2 (15 - 35 emails/day): Begin building consistent, robust daily activity patterns. Still no actual outreach.
- Week 3 (35 - 75 emails/day): Strengthen reputation. You can begin very light cold outreach here (e.g., 20 real emails a day), but keep warm-up volume higher.
- Week 4 (75 - 150 emails/day): You are nearing operational capacity. Maintain a 50/50 split of warm-up and outreach emails.
- Week 5+ (150 - 200 emails/day): Maintenance mode. Keep warm-up running in the background permanently at ~25% to 50% of total volume based on the golden ratio.
The "Warmup vs. Outbound Ratio" Formula
The exact math of safe scaling in 2026:
- Week 2 (Pre-Launch): 100% Warmup / 0% Outbound
- Week 4 (Ramp Up): 60% Warmup / 40% Outbound
- Week 8+ (Cruising Altitude): 30% Warmup / 70% Outbound
Crucial Rule: Never drop your warm-up below 30% of your total sending volume if you are using a third-party network. If you are sending 70 real cold emails a day, that tool should still generate at least 30 engagement emails. If you are warming up manually on MailShrine, the equivalent rule is simpler: do not jump to full campaign volume until the four-week ramp is done, and keep early sends aimed at people who will actually reply.
Common Warm-Up Mistakes
Mistake 1: Rushing the Process
Turning on a warm-up tool and immediately launching a 500-email campaign on Day 3. Your domain will burn instantly. Patience is mandatory; wait at least 14 days before sending a single real cold email.
Mistake 2: Warming Up a Bad Technical Setup
If you start warming up an inbox but your SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records are misconfigured, you are just training the algorithms to associate your domain with broken, suspicious mail. Always verify your DNS records before starting the warm-up.
Mistake 3: Using Gibberish or Bot-Heavy Warm-Up Pools
Years ago, warm-up tools sent random strings of text (like "Xyq rtzlm qp"). Google's AI quickly learned to instantly flag gibberish. Today, some extremely cheap warm-up tools still use fake bot accounts or poorly spun text. If you are caught in a bad network, your reputation will be penalized alongside the bots. If you buy a third-party warm-up network, prefer one that uses natural business-language threads — that is a vendor-selection tip, not a MailShrine AI warm-up claim.
Warming Up While You Use MailShrine Email Marketing
Instead of assuming your campaign platform also runs a warm-up engine, separate the two jobs.
MailShrine Email Marketing is credit-based (1 credit = 1 email). You can send list campaigns from a connected Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, or Custom SMTP inbox, or from MailShrine Cloud. Unused credits never expire. Stored contacts do not raise the bill.
MailShrine does not currently include a proprietary, enterprise-grade warm-up engine, a high-reputation network of aged inboxes, automatic spam-folder rescues, or AI-generated warm-up replies. When you connect a new mailbox or start Cloud sending:
- Follow the 4-week volume schedule above on that send path.
- Point early campaigns at engaged / opted-in contacts so replies are real.
- Add a third-party warm-up network (Lemwarm, Instantly, or similar) if you want automated pool engagement.
- Only then scale credit spend toward your target daily volume.
You do not "turn it on, wait two weeks, and launch with maximum deliverability." You ramp. Placement odds improve when list quality and send path stay under your control.
